How to use pitch & key changer

  1. Choose an audio file and leave speed at 100% to keep its tempo.
  2. Set a positive semitone value to raise the key, or a negative value to lower it.
  3. Play the song or a selected section and adjust the interval to suit your voice or instrument.

A little more about this tool

A semitone is one step between adjacent piano keys, including black keys. Moving a song from C to D takes two semitones; moving it from C to B takes minus one. This tool changes the whole recording, including voices and instruments. It does not separate stems or preserve vocal formants, so large changes can alter the character of a singer. For transposing written chord symbols, use the capo and chord transposer instead.

Can I change pitch and speed separately?

Yes. Pitch controls the transposition in semitones, and speed controls playback tempo. Changes take effect when you press Play again.

Is it really free?

Yes. Use this tool without an account, subscription or download. Audio files and microphone input stay on your device. Browser format support varies; MP3 and WAV are good starting points.
