Pitch-preserving playback uses SoundTouchJS version 2.1.1, maintained by Steve “Cutter” Blades and contributors, based on SoundTouch by Olli Parviainen. The packages are distributed under the Mozilla Public License 2.0. The library files are unmodified apart from bundling. Read the package licenses and source below.

Key estimation uses major/minor pitch-class profiles; tempo estimation uses periodicity in an onset envelope. Both produce estimates that should be checked by ear.
