Put your music somewhere else
THALM takes music you already have and places it in a real space: the next room, down the hall, out on the street, inside a passing car. In a video editor the placement follows your timeline, so it lands exactly with the cut. Worldizing, without leaving your editor.
An audio effect (AU · VST3 · AAX) for Final Cut Pro, Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, Pro Tools and every DAW.
Instant download. 30 day money back. The music you make is yours.
$129. One-time, yours forever, with free updates.

Why this exists, in two minutes. The same shot twice, dry and then through THALM, then what a wall actually does to music and why the usual EQ trick never quite lands.
You don't set filters, you set a place. The geometry drives the sound; move through a wall and you hear the wall.
Draw a route over time and the sound travels with your host's playhead, so the journey lands exactly with your edit, in Final Cut, Pro Tools and every DAW.
Arm REC MOVE, press play, and drag the music around while the scene runs. The performance is recorded and baked into an editable route. One move, not a lane of hand-set keyframes.
STAY PUT pins the music in one spot and you move around it. MOVE THROUGH sends you on a route through the building over time.
Rename rooms, set each room's character, draw your own map, or drag a real recorded space (an impulse response) onto any room. Set your rooms up once and every clip you add THALM to already has them.
How is the music playing in that space? Live, a wireless set, a gramophone, a PA horn, a phone speaker, a concert rig, a music box.
Keeping a tune intelligible two floors away is a different problem from putting a voice through a phone, and it's measured to get it right.
Most audio plugins ignore video editors. THALM is an Audio Unit and a VST3, so it loads straight into Final Cut Pro, Premiere Pro and DaVinci Resolve, and the journey follows your playhead, so a source drifting down a corridor cuts perfectly with the picture. It's the character you'd chase by worldizing, without leaving the edit.
Perform the placement live in Final Cut, it bakes itself. Arm REC MOVE, press play, drag the music through the building while the scene runs, stop, and the performance becomes a route that renders exactly with the cut, and every point of it stays editable. The alternative is keyframing the controls (how far, walls, floors…) by hand in the Inspector, one point at a time; REC MOVE is a single move instead. If actors travel through rooms against music, that's the whole chase captured in one pass rather than keyframed by hand.
The browser demo runs the same engine as the plugin, place the music, walk it through the building, build your own map and name its rooms, and hear what survives the journey.
